How do I get started?

Create an account, then browse the library. Tap any book to see its chapters. Select a chapter and the Rot Machine will play the narrated audio with word-synced captions over background video.

Why does a chapter say "Processing"?

Audio is generated on-demand the first time you open a chapter, so it may take a few minutes. You'll see a spinner while it's processing. Once generated, it plays instantly on all future visits.

Can I change the narrator voice?

Yes! Open the settings panel (gear icon) in the Rot Machine and select from available voice variants. Each voice has its own style, from warm and natural to bold and energetic.

Does my progress sync across devices?

Yes. Your reading progress (down to the exact word) syncs automatically between the iOS app and web app. Just use the same account on both.

How do I delete my account?

Go to the Account page and tap "Delete Account." This permanently removes your profile, reading progress, and all associated data within 30 days.

The audio isn't playing. What should I do?

Make sure your device isn't on silent mode (iOS). Check that your internet connection is stable. If the issue persists, try switching to a different voice variant or pull-to-refresh the library.
